NPR Study on the Connection between Sleep and Stress:

A recent NPR poll, conducted in with RWJ Foundation and Harvard School of Public Health, found a strong connection between stress and sleep. Approximately 70 percent of participants who reported recent elevated stress levels also reported difficulty sleeping.

University of Pittsburgh’s Martica Hall was quoted saying, “Under stressful circumstances, and when people are haunted by life, they cannot sleep very well.”
